Create a plan of when to write

I don’t know about you but I require a routine of when to write. This helps me stay motivated and keeps me on track to achieving what I want in the writing world. It also hugely depends on my availability and what works for me and when.

Back in the day before I stopped writing. I would write in every waking moment. I would write on my train ride to work, I would then write in my lunch break, and then again on the train ride home. I would write after dinner from 7pm often to late each night 10pm or 11pm. And then the day would start again and so I would write again!

Now, I am getting back into writing after a 7 year break. I first started slowly, just writing two hours each fortnight blogging. But then I had grand plans for blogging and this increased to three to four hours a fortnight.

After I published my first eBook upon my return of 7 years, “A journey of crocheting for beginner” available on Apple Books, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Smashwords.com, I realised why I loved writing books before and have so many more ideas. I found a historical romance book that I loved writing but never got to publish. So I am also currently editing that novel.

It’s emotionally driven, so I find I’m quite emotionally exhausted even editing short sections. So now I aim for an hour or more of editing a week but I prefer to have my blogs written before I edit my book. Because I could spend hours, days, weeks (you get the idea), editing my novel.

But I still want to keep my blogs growing. During the week, when I have energy, I also promote my blogs and books, mainly on LinkedIn and Pinterest.

And then I realised, I need once a month a few hours to put aside to brainstorm and reconnect with my goals of writing. I do want to write because I love it but down the track would also like to make some passive income from it, which I believe I am on the right pathway for.

Which brings me to this: if you are an author and would like your book cover published with a link to your online store to purchase it from, I am offering a $50 promotional fee for 3 months of advertising on this very blog. I understand it’s a new blog but I am dedicated with four other blogs and books, so I want to assure you, I will be driving views to my blog.
